About us

Established in 2000 we have been a successful salon for 24 years. Awarded the prestigious Irish Beauty Salon of the Year in 2003. In May 2014 the long term manager of Beauty Culture (Caroline Purdy) took over the business as the new owner and proprietor of our new premises on Bloomfield Road. Since then our team has grown and we are delighted to say we have won several awards including the 'Ulster Tatler 2019 Beauty Salon of the year'. We are recognised being one of the leading skincare/beauty salons. We consist of staff who are extensively qualified in all areas of beauty therapy and have many years experience in the industry. Our aim is to build customer loyalty and satisfaction through offering a wide range of treatments using the very best beauty brands in a relaxing atmosphere.

Appointments

At Beauty Culture we always endeavour to be on time for our clients so we would ask that you arrive promptly for your appointment. This will ensure that your therapist has all the time she needs to put the utmost care and attention to your treatment. If it is your first time visiting the salon we ask that you arrive 10 minutes before your appointment to fill in a consultation form.

Due to needing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the salon we request that all mobile phones are switched off or put on silent upon entering the salon.

Patch testing

First time eyebrow and eyelash tints require a patch test at least 48hrs before your appointment. This will only take a minute or two and can be one anytime. HD Brow and Henna brow tint also requires a patch test as this is different than ordinary tint.
Similarly clients booking in for any of our treatment eyelash extension for the first time with us need a patch test for the glue at least 48hrs prior to treatment. This is essential and the treatment cannot be carried out unless this has been done and a negative result has been achieved.

Points to remember

Please bring flip flops for after a file and paint on toes or a pedicure to ensure that polish does not smudge and has time to dry effectively.

We cannot soak off any gel or gel polish that we have not previously applied, we only have solution and tools to remove Shellac which is our chosen gel polish brand.

Please prep well prior to getting a tan applied. To ensure an even tan; exfoliate well for a few days leading up to the application and moisture your skin to ensure it's in the best condition possible. Remove all make-up, perfume and deodorant from your skin and hair removal must be done at least 24hrs beforehand. Wear loose clothing to go home in and avoid wearing jewellery.

Children in the salon

The Beauty Culture team love kiddies though we are aware a beauty salon is a very unsafe place for the little ones. Too many lovely things to bring down on top of themselves and hot wax, a relaxing atmosphere is needed for our clients too. Calling in for a quick eyebrow wax? Certainly you can bring them if they will take a seat, just for longer treatments it is not advised. Older children? If necessary for them to come along, bring their devices with them, log into and take use of our free wifi!
Safeguarding
Our treatment rooms are a professional and safe environment for both staff and clients, please note, any inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated.
